Advising PCI DSS Standards Council

Solidcore helping evolve PCI compliance standard to protect payment and cardholder data

Solidcore has joined the PCI Security Standards Council as a new participating organization and will be participating to evolve the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA DSS) and other payment card data protection standards.

Bob Russo, general manager of the PCI Security Standards Council said, “By participating in the standards setting process, Solidcore is playing an active role in this important effort.”

The PCI DSS, endorsed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc., requires merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to information security controls and processes that ensure data integrity.  As a participating organization, Solidcore is providing feedback on the standards and is part of a growing community of industry leaders focused on payment card data security.  In an era of increasingly sophisticated attacks on systems, adhering to the PCI DSS represents a set of best practices for protecting against data criminals.

Anne Bonaparte, president and CEO of Solidcore, added, “Solidcore is excited to count some of the largest retailers as our customers, and we are working closely with them to develop the best solutions for securing their critical payment systems.”
